Do you have a wedding licence?
Yes. You will need to contact both your local council and Ceremonies in East Sussex (ceremoniesineastsussex.co.uk) for details on how to register your marriage and arrange a registrar to come out to the venue.
How many people does the venue hold?
The venue capacity is 150 seated. Additional people can be invited for the evening but this must not exceed an extra 50.
When can we visit the venue?
Please contact us to arrange private viewings, we’re available weekdays and weekends or alternatively visit us on one of our open days.
Do you charge corkage?
There is no corkage for a drinks reception or for the wedding breakfast. After the meal a fully-stocked bar is opened. Alternatively you can also supply the evening drinks for a corkage fee.
Do you offer midweek weddings?
We do and, again, these are 48-hour rentals. Please contact us to discuss.
Are you able to offer late-licence events?
Guests need to vacate the premises by midnight. Late licenses can be applied for a fee.
Are we able to leave cars at the venue?
Cars may be left in the venue car park during the 48-hour rental period but MUST be removed by the end of the rental period.
Can we use the venue the night before for an event?
The rental period is for access and ONE EVENT ONLY. If you would like to host more than one event over the weekend, please contact us to discuss.
When can deliveries be made before an event?
Deliveries can only be made during the rental period which starts midday the day before the event. Any deliveries before this will be turned away.
Do you have toilet facilities?
There are full toilet facilities in the venue. The use of these are included in the rental prices.
Do you have disabled access?
The venue offers disabled facilities and access.
Does the venue have kitchen facilities?
Yes, there is a well equiped commercial kitchen. The use of this is included in the hire prices.
Are we able to use our own suppliers?
Yes, although there is a kitchen charge for using CATERING suppliers that are not on our preferred list.
Do you offer winter weddings?
Yes we offer winter weddings.
Do you offer wedding packages?
The prices quoted on the website are for the venue only but please contact us to discuss this further.
Are there smoking facilities?
The barn venue is a no-smoking building however there are outside smoking facilities provided.
Are we allowed open fires?
There is a fire pit on the patio which is the only fire allowed on site.
Do you allow confetti?
Only biodegradable confetti.
Do you provide any chairs, tables or cutlery in the hire prices?
No, these need to be hired in specifically for the event.
What accommodation is available on site?
There is a fully fitted holiday cottage which offers accommodation for up to four people and can also be used for wedding preparations. There is an open-plan, fully fitted apartment suitable as a wedding suite or accommodation. Glamping onsite is also permitted using one of our preferred suppliers. All accommodation facilities are all additional add-ons and not included in the hire prices. Please contact us to discuss further.
