The perfect countryside barn wedding venue in an area of outstanding natural beauty
The Cherry Barn wedding venue is a stunning 17th-century East Sussex oak framed barn venue available for weddings and events located just outside of Rye and in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We offer exclusive 48-hour hire periods and can seat up to 150 guests comfortably. The Cherry Barn is licensed for weddings but for those wanting a religious ceremony, the Norman church of St Peter and St Paul in Peasmarsh is only a short stroll away. Our oak framed gazebo means we can also offer outdoor wedding ceremonies. For those looking to celebrate their union in our woodland or under an oak tree, a celebrant led blessing is the perfect solution! The Cherry Barn is also a gay friendly venue.
The Cherry Barn is located on a 400-acre working family farm in the Sussex countryside, border with Kent. The venue is set in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is only a seven-minute drive from the medieval town of Rye and a short stroll from the Norman church in Peasmarsh. The Cherry Barn, with its backdrop of orchards and farmland, is a stunning rural retreat for any wedding or event, but is within easy reach of London.
The original traditional oak-framed barn has been fitted with full-height glass doors and windows that overlook the orchard and give extensive views of the surrounding countryside.
If you’re looking for the perfect blend of elegance, romance and rustic charm, then The Cherry Barn is the place for you. This 17th century barn venue has been converted and extended, retaining its period features but with the addition of modern conveniences. It offers an enchanting blank canvas for those wanting to add their own style to a wedding or party. As the venue is available for 48-hour rentals, it is exclusively yours for the whole weekend.
